Ban following the publication of “Baroane”
A related Bilete de Papagal column in Informația Zilei was banned by Ion Antonescu’s government after publishing Tudor Arghezi’s virulent satire of Nazi Germany’s ambassador to Romania, Manfred Freiherr von Killinger. Arghezi was later interned near Târgu Jiu.
