Big aLICe

Big aLICe Brewing began in January 2013 in Long Island City, Queens, on a 10-gallon pilot system, founded by Kyle Hurst and Scott Berger. They brewed bold, experimental batches using fresh, local, and organic ingredients. The brewery later opened taprooms in Long Island City and Brooklyn, and in May 2021 moved to Geneva, NY, in the Finger Lakes region, operating a 15-barrel system and a dog- and family-friendly taproom. It is a licensed New York State Farm Brewery, partnering with state hop-growers and maltsters. The name is inspired by the Ravenswood generator stacks in Queens, particularly the largest one nicknamed 'Big Allis'.
