Compact-disc price-fixing settlement
BMG and other major music companies were included in a settlement concerning alleged industry use of minimum-advertised-price practices to limit discounting and maintain higher CD prices. The settlement required monetary payments and distribution of CDs to public and nonprofit organizations; the companies did not admit wrongdoing.
