Fire at subsidiary Bengang Steel Plates' New No. 1 Blast Furnace; production halted and later resumed

In September 2017, a fire broke out at the New No. 1 Blast Furnace of Bengang Steel Plates, a subsidiary of Benxi Steel Group. Production resumed about half a month later, and outside experts were still investigating the cause at the time of reporting. This entry concerns a plant safety incident; the cause is not presumed to be an explosion based on the headline alone.
