Dividend-tax case damages judgment
The Danish Supreme Court found in favour of the Danish tax authorities in their tort claim against Bech-Bruun and ordered the firm to pay approximately DKK 500 million including interest. Bech-Bruun said professional indemnity insurance would cover the damages.

Scrutiny over advice to North Channel Bank
In the context of a police investigation into fraudulent Danish dividend-withholding-tax refund claims, it became known that two Bech-Bruun partners had advised North Channel Bank in 2014 and 2015. The disclosure preceded litigation by Danish tax authorities against the firm.
