Aviastroitel was a Russian aircraft manufacturer associated primarily with lightweight fiberglass sailplanes and motor gliders. History
Aviastroitel’s history is rooted in the experimental aircraft work of Vladimir Egorovich Fedorov. Fedorov, born in 1937, studied at the Moscow Aviation Institute and earned a doctorate in aerodynamics. He later worked on the Buran space program.
