Federal Trade Commission loan-servicing settlement
The FTC alleged that Avant engaged in deceptive loan-servicing practices and violated provisions of the Telemarketing Sales Rule and Electronic Fund Transfer Act. Avant agreed to pay $3.85 million to resolve the matter.
