Appointment of HUNDEN as head analyst
Astralis appointed Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen after an ESIC disciplinary matter involving alleged disclosure of sensitive material had been concluded. The appointment generated controversy because of the circumstances surrounding his previous ban and its later resolution.

RFRSH and BLAST conflict-of-interest criticism
The Counter-Strike community criticized the corporate structure in which RFRSH-related interests represented Astralis while also operating the BLAST Pro Series tournament circuit. Astralis was subsequently separated from the RFRSH tournament business.
