2022
Religious-discrimination lawsuit
Former employee Daniel Snyder alleged that Arconic discriminated against him after he objected on the company intranet to a rainbow graphic associated with Gay Pride Month. The case reached the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, which dismissed his appeal in August 2024.

Grenfell Tower cladding controversy
Arconic’s Reynobond PE aluminum composite cladding was installed on Grenfell Tower during its refurbishment. After the 2017 fire killed 72 people, the official inquiry examined allegations that the company knew of serious fire risks and did not fully disclose them. Its 2024 report criticized Arconic’s conduct and described the cladding configuration as extremely dangerous. Arconic’s French business disputed the allegations.
