On Tuesday, the province announced Arbutus Landscaping Inc. was fined $318,000 after pleading guilty in court on Aug. 19 to one count under the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act in relation to the death of a worker who fell through a roof at an Edmonton construction site on Dec. 11, 2023.
As well, Albatross Roofing Ltd. was charged with OHS offences related to the same fatality. The company’s sentencing date is Sept. 10.
Calgary-based Arbutus Landscaping Inc. has been ordered to pay $318,000 after pleading guilty to a single count under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
