Lawsuit arising from the cancelled Jawbreakers publication
Richard C. Meyer filed a civil lawsuit against creator Mark Waid, alleging tortious interference with contract, defamation, and exemplary damages in connection with efforts to prevent Antarctic Press from publishing Jawbreakers: Lost Souls. The dispute ended when Meyer voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit, as stated in a joint announcement released by the parties in December 2020.
