Lawsuit over phthalate-related ingredient disclosure
A class-action lawsuit against General Mills alleged that the phrase "made with goodness" on certain Annie's macaroni-and-cheese products failed to disclose the presence of ortho phthalates identified in earlier reporting. General Mills had said it was working to eliminate phthalates from its products. The case was narrowed in 2025 to omission allegations rather than claims that the products affirmatively misrepresented their contents.
