Closure of the Charleroi Pyrex factory

The closure of the 132-year-old Pyrex factory in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, became controversial after production was slated to move to Lancaster, Ohio. Senators Bob Casey Jr. and John Fetterman opposed the decision, and the State of Pennsylvania pursued legal action. The reported legal motions were dismissed, and the plant closed in April 2025.
