SEC allegations concerning inventory transactions
The Securities and Exchange Commission filed civil charges against two former Anchor Bay employees, alleging that they caused the company to enter transactions representing the sale of slow-moving or obsolete inventory while concealing repurchase provisions. The alleged transactions involved video packaging materials and DVDs. Handleman subsequently restated financial statements to address the accounting errors.
