Ambuja Cements sued JSW Cement in the Delhi High Court, alleging that JSW's Jal Kavach water-repellent cement branding was deceptively similar to Ambuja's Ambuja Kawach mark. Ambuja sought injunctive relief and damages; the court referred the parties to mediation.

Sanghi Industries acquisition-related guarantee dispute
Following the Sanghi acquisition, Ambuja sought approximately ₹84 crore from former promoter Alok Sanghi in relation to pre-acquisition liabilities, including an unpaid electricity bill. Ambuja initiated personal insolvency proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. Sanghi challenged the action, arguing that the transaction documents contained corporate warranties and indemnities rather than a personal guarantee.
