Controversy over Bahrain coverage
Al-Manar and its associated Lebanese communications group were criticized for partisan coverage of Bahrain's unrest. The group apologized at an Arab States Broadcasting Union meeting, and director general Abdallah Qasir resigned after Hezbollah pressure.
