Hong Kong anti-money-laundering oversight fine
The Hong Kong Insurance Authority fined AIA HK$23 million after identifying weaknesses in anti-money-laundering systems during an inspection covering activities from March 2016 to October 2022. The findings included delays in identifying certain politically exposed persons and shortcomings in enhanced due diligence for some high-risk customers.
