Medicare copay-assistance allegations
The United States alleged that Actelion used charitable copay-assistance arrangements to support Medicare patients receiving its medicines, including Tracleer, in a manner that could steer prescriptions and facilitate price increases. Actelion paid $360 million to resolve the civil allegations. The settlement was not a criminal conviction.
