Historical packaging imagery criticized as culturally insensitive
Early ABBA-ZABA packaging reportedly used cartoon imagery that is now considered culturally insensitive. The available sources do not identify a specific public incident, date, settlement, or detailed company response. Annabelle’s statement that the wrapper has remained the same throughout its manufacturing period is also reported, but the precise relationship between early packaging and later wrappers is not fully documented.
