Luhua Ningbo Branch Fined for "Non-GMO" False Advertising
Luhua's Ningbo branch used the words "non-GMO" in promotions for peanut oil and other products. Because peanuts themselves have no commercialized genetically modified varieties, the market regulator deemed the promotion misleading false advertising. It was fined RMB 20,000.
