Chaohongji loses consecutive infringement suits to Bvlgari and Cartier, ordered to pay 2.1 million yuan; products repeatedly fail inspections

While Chaohongji was preparing for a Hong Kong listing, Bvlgari and Richemont (Cartier) separately sued it over alleged infringement in the design of some jewelry. On December 30, 2025, the first-instance judgment in the Bvlgari case ordered Chaohongji to pay 1.1 million yuan, and the Richemont/Cartier case ordered 1 million yuan; Chaohongji appealed both. On quality, in a 2020 spot check in Bengbu, Anhui, its pure gold cubic zirconia pendant failed due to a marking error; in a 2024 Zhejiang spot check, a pure gold jewelry item failed the 'jewelry and jade variety identification' item.
