    Tang and Qin series recalled over 183,000 vehicles for brake pedal stopper pad defect

    In September 2026 BYD filed a recall with the State Administration for Market Regulation for 142,895 Tang series and 40,316 Qin series vehicles because of an abnormal material batch in brake pedal stopper pads; long-term use may cause cracking and detachment, leading to false illumination of brake lights. The pads will be replaced free of charge with improved ones.
