Multiple Hitachi Elevator branches penalized by market regulators for maintenance omissions and false maintenance

In August 2023, the Shanghai Jiading District Market Supervision Bureau found that Hitachi Elevator (China) Co., Ltd.'s Shanghai Branch failed to maintain the in-car alarm device and intercom system during 7 elevator maintenance visits at a residential compound, and fined it 40,000 yuan; in November, the case was listed among Shanghai's 'Iron Fist' campaign typical cases.
