Glyphosate residues found in oat products

In 2016, Taiwan detected four US-imported Quaker oat products containing the herbicide glyphosate, and they were removed from shelves and recalled; in 2018, a US Environmental Working Group (EWG) report said many oat products contained glyphosate, with higher levels in Quaker and Kellogg's products. Both companies said they complied with regulations and that products sold in China were safe. Chinese regulators did not impose penalties, but the issue raised consumer concerns.
