WeChat Work and WorkBuddy jointly release deeply integrated new versions
On October 14, 2026, Tencent's WeChat Work and WorkBuddy jointly released new versions achieving two-way deep integration: WorkBuddy enters the WeChat Work contact list as a conversational bot in WeChat Work 5.0.12, and WorkBuddy 5.8.0 adds WeChat Work account login with ten capability permissions including messaging, documents, meetings and cloud drive. The new interoperability is open to verified WeChat Work enterprises with limited free-trial slots.
