Mitsubishi Corporation reported that its Singapore-based petroleum unit suffered a loss of approximately 13.2 billion yen, or about US$90 million, after a trader allegedly bypassed risk controls and conducted unauthorized crude-oil derivatives transactions. The trader was dismissed and reported to police, while the company considered further legal action.
